About Us

The Children’s Ministry of Calvary Chapel Gwinnett is the teaching ministry for children in Nursery through 5th Grade. We offer children’s ministry classes on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings during our regular services. We also provide special event opportunities throughout the year.

Our Vision

Calvary Kids’ vision is
for the next generation
to know God personally,
follow Him wholeheartedly,
and proclaim the Gospel boldly

Our Mission

We desire to-
Teach children God’s word (2 Timothy 3:16-17)
Grow their love for God and one another (Mark 12:30-31)
Encourage them in their walk with Jesus (Matthew 19:14)
Engage them with relevant lessons & activities (Colossians 3:2)
Equip them to share and defend their faith (1 Peter 3:15)
Support parents and families in the instruction of their children (Deut 6:6-9)
See a heritage of loving and serving Jesus passed down to the next generation (Psalm 127:3-5)

Our Goals

For every child in our ministry to be born again, to know that God loves them, we love them, and the church of Calvary Gwinnett loves them

For every family in our ministry to receive support and encouragement as they raise their children Biblically, to know that we partner with them in the discipleship of their children

For every servant in our ministry to take ownership of their teaching, to spread the love and joy of the Lord with the children, and to be role models to the children, both inside and outside of the classroom

Check In/Safety

The security and safety of your children is a top priority to us, therefore we use a security program called KidCheck. This program provides the necessary allergy and contact information for us and a secure pick up process for you. KidCheck provides a nametag for your child and a guardian receipt for you, with corresponding numbers and pictures to help us keep your child secure. You may sign up before visiting at www.kidcheck.com to make the check in process smoother.

All volunteers in our Children’s Ministry are fully screened with a complete national background check. They have all completed Children’s Ministry training and are regularly observed by staff.

Volunteers

We are so grateful for our volunteers and are thrilled when anyone has a desire to serve and use their giftings in this ministry. Each Sunday School class has a lead teacher and an assistant teacher. Opportunities are also available to serve in our nursery. Volunteers are provided with all necessary training, curriculum, and supplies.
